Directions
Instructions Checklist
Tip: When measuring dry ingredients we make sure to level off any excess to ensure proper measurements and make sure loaves don't turn out too dry.
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 2 9-by-5-inch loaf pans.
Step 2
Whisk together the sugar and oil in a large bowl until well combined. Whisk in the eggs, pumpkin, and Daddy's Homemade Syrup until combined.
Step 3
Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, and cloves in a medium bowl and whisk until well combined. Add half the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir to combine. Repeat with the remaining flour and water.
Step 4
Divide batter between the prepared loaf pans. Bake until the cake tester comes out clean and the loaves are golden brown; about 1 hour. Let the loaves cool in the pans on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Remove from the pans and let cool completely for about 1 hour.
Step 5
Can add Maple Glaze to top for a little sweeter taste (optional). Enjoy!
